There are indications that all is not well between “Better Pikin” crooner, Harrison Tare Okiri, popularly known as Harrysong, and his record label, Five Star Music, owned by business mogul, Emeka Okonkwo (a.k.a E-Money) and his elder brother Kingsley Okonkwo (a.k.a Kcee).
WG reliably gathered that following Harrysong’s forthcoming ‘One Delta Concert’ which is currently gathering momentum with the pop singer allegedly investing resources into the project, his record label has strictly warned him to stop the concert and concentrate  on releasing his much anticipated first ever album under the label.
Harrysong is said to have pleaded with the management of his label to allow him hold the concert which aimes at sensitizing the youth on the need to shun violence but they allegedly refused to oblige him.
As a matter of fact, our source further revealed that Kcee who is the Vice President of Five Star Music  has allegedly threatened that if Harrysong goes ahead with the concert he will no longer enjoy support from the label.
But when contacted on the telephone, Kcee’s manager, Soso Soberekon denied the rumour, saying “There is nothing like that. I don’t know what you are talking about.”
Also, a close source to Harrysong refused to speak on the matter. Rather, he said, “Harrysong is concentrating on his event and as I speak he has been busy trying to tighten loose ends.”
‘One Delta’ is described as a Harrysong Peace Concert which holds on the 31st of July in Asaba, the Delta State capital. The government of Delta State is reportedly happy to be a part of the event and promised to make it a yearly event.

Popular Nigerian DJ, Jimmy Adewale Amu, popularly known as Cool DJ Jimmy Jatt says he has mended fences with singer, Terry G, after a fall out with him at a comedy show that held at the Shell Hall of Muson centre in Lagos state.
The controversial singer had disrespected and slapped DJ Jimmy Jatt’s protege, DJ Phriz, which caused a stir at the event.
However when the incident happened, the cool DJ asked his boy to close shop.
Recall that following the incident, the DJs Association of Nigeria, DJAN, had placed an embargo on Nigerian pop star, Terry G’s songs, stopping all DJs around the country from playing his songs.
The Akpako master had since tendered an open apology to DJ Jimmy Jatt regarding the incident and the DJAN, in a statement, said it had lifted the ban on the singer’s songs.
Speaking on the incident and his alleged beef with the Benue born ‘Free Madness’ crooner, Jimmy Jatt told the Punch there was no problem between them.
The disc jockey said, “There was not really any problem between Terry G and I. It was just the DJ association that placed a ban on his music but the ban has now been lifted.
“From our side, the initial reaction was that we demanded for a public apology and he has done that. Terry G went further to come to my office to apologise to the DJ and myself. He also went as far as meeting with some members of the association and I think that is what convinced them to lift the ban.
“To err is human and to forgive is divine, so it was just fair for them to lift the ban against him.”
Recounting the experience, Jimmy Jatt said although he was at the show, he did not know that his boy received a slap till someone informed him.
“To be honest with you, I was on a table far from the stage. I thought he was exiting the stage, I did not know what transpired. It was someone that called my attention to the fact that he actually slapped the boy.
“When I heard, I got up and went to ask if my boy was slapped and he replied in an affirmative manner. I was shocked. I just told the boy to vacate the place. Luckily; there was a backup DJ, so he took over.
“The incident has sent a strong signal that there is a vibrant DJ association. Some other things have happened in the past that people have done and they got away with them but that would not happen again because an action has to be taken.
“For anybody that would not want an army of DJs to come after them, it would be in your interest not to look down on any DJ either established or up and coming. I am glad where the industry is today even though we have not got to the promised land yet. We have come a long way.
“This used to be a profession that people shunned but now parents are now proud to say that their children are disc jockeys. If you check the calibre of people coming in, it is enough to be proud about. There is still a lot to be done,” he added.

The last may not have been heard of the feud between Nigerian music act, Oritsefemi and his former manager, Yusuf Adepitan, popularly known as Danku, as the singer has reportedly gotten Danku arrested.
In what appears to be a continuation of the fallout between the duo, the Lagos state police command stormed the Muson Centre, Onikan at a comedy concert on Sunday to arrest Danku, the NET is reporting.
Reports claim that the long arm of the law caught up with Danku last night. He was allegedly picked up for theft, conspiracy and impersonation by officers of the Nigeria Police Force at the Muson centre on the red carpet of Pencil Unbroken event.
“It was life a Hollywood movie, they just stormed the red carpet and whisked him away,” a source said.
Danku was said to have been taken to Zone 2, Police command in Onikan, Lagos.
It will be recalled that in 2014, the relationship between the 31-year-old ‘Double Wahala’ crooner and his ex-manager went messy after Oritsefemi accused Danku of stealing money from him and also claiming ownership of his MSN record label.
Also, in January 2015, the singer threatened to arrest Danku and his mother for conspiring against him and making threats to his life, but this never happened.
In April, the duo got into another messy fight after Oritsefemi called Danku out for using the MSN logo for his artiste, Rayce.

– Prison sources say the alleged mastermind of the October 1, 2010 bombing has not been seen since the alleged jail break

– Informs, however, that he is being interrogated

Sahara Reporters has obtained photos of the prison where Charles Okah, the alleged mastermind of the October 1, 2010 bombing, reportedly escaped from.

The Niger Delta militant, contrary to the report of his escape, still remained in prison custody, but pictures have surfaced of the Kuje prison walls where he was said to have scaled to leave the prison premises.

According to the prison sources, Okah has not been seen since the jail break but it was stated further that he was being interrogated by prison officials.

Okah, a member of the Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta (MEND), has been on trial for the 2010 Independence Day bombing that killed 27 people during the country’s 50th independence anniversary.

Francis Enobore, the public relations officer of the Nigerian Prisons Service claimed he was in touch with security operatives on ground and that Okah was still in detention.

“It is not true, Charlse Okah is still in custody. I have been in touch with our men in the prison facility and there is nothing like that [Okah escaping],” he said.

The militant infamously tried to commit suicide in court in 2015 after he addressed Justice Gabriel Kolawole and claimed that former president, Goodluck Jonathan was responsible for his travails.

- Charles Okah who has been in detention for the 2010 independence day bombing reportedly escape

- The Nigerian Prison Service has however denied the escape and insists he is still in detention

According to Sahara Reporters, Charles Okah who is a member of the Movement for the Freedom (from slavery) of Niger Delta (MEND) has escaped from Kuje prison.

Okah who is the brother of Henry Okah who was the leader of the group escaped on Friday, June 25 by scaling the high fence of the prison walls.

The escape happened around 7:30 pm and he reportedly jumped the prison walls with another inmate.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo paid inspection visit to the Dangote Refinery at the Lekki Free Trade Zone, Lagos, on Saturday, June 25.

Osinbajo was accopmanied by Kayode Fayemi, Minister of Solid Minerals; Kemi Adeosun, Minister of Finance; Babatunde Fashola, Minister of Power, Works and Housing; Okechukwu Enelamah, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment; Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos state.

Speaking with journalists shortly after the inspection tour, Ambode said that the refinery, petrochemical, gas and fertilizer projects being undertaken by Aliko Dangote in Lagos would significantly boost the economy of the state and Nigeria in general.

“Firstly, there is a refinery project that is ongoing, second there is a petrochemical project that is also ongoing. There is pipeline transfer project that brings gas from Bonny down to Olokonla and down to Lekki and then the fourth one is the fertilizer project all in one location,” he said.

According to the governor, the coming of the vice president to inspect this project is “a sign post that the federal government is in support of what is going on here”.

Workers if the famous/respected Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) have halted all activities on campus over the appointment of a new Vice-Chancellor by the school's controlling/ruling (group of people who advise or govern).

The fresh intakes of the university now being orientated have been ordered to leave the school buildings/land and the resumption of the returning students delayed till something else is communicated.

The Registra of the school while confirming the reports said, the management decided to shut down the school for the safety of staff and students.

"We have shut down the university (for a long time--maybe forever) pending the time that we will resolve issues with our workers - Non-(related to school and learning) Staff of University (NASU) and Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (SSANU).
"We have asked our newly admitted students to go home and delayed the resumption of old students (for a long time--maybe forever)," he said.

Members of the school's chapter of Non-(related to school and learning) Staff Union (NASU) & Senior Staff Association Of Nigerian Universities had started their strike action and protests since June 6, after sueing the university management over the appointment of former Deputy Vice-Chancellor as new Vice-Chancellor by the school's controlling/ruling (group of people who advise or govern).

Some of the members of the union and association had earlier on Tuesday wore red and black clothes to protest angrily criticizing the school management for forcing (on people) a new VC on them and very seriously promising not to allow Professor Salami resume work.

OAU's management threatened the striking workers that their (moneys paid for working) wouldn't be paidif they continued their strike action, but it seems the threat fell on (unable to hear) ears as they resumed back their protests on Wednesday.

The Unions while (charging with a crime) the university of illegality in the appointment of the new VC promised not to stop until the appointment is reversed.

The school management has however reacted to this by saying that due process was followed in the selection of the new VC.

The phones had been thought of/considered
almost the same as Shenzhen Baili's 100C
phone, with the copyright/patent court
ruling against Apple.
In a statement, Apple showed/told about
that all brands are on sale in what is the
company's second-biggest market, as they
have (took/taken a court case to a higher court for review) the decision at a higher
court.
The statement reads:-
"iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus as well as
iPhone 6s, iPhone 6S Plus and iPhone SE
models are all available for sale today in
China. We appealed a (related to managing and running a company or organization)
order from a (related to a large area) patent
court in Beijing last month and as a result
the order has been stayed pending review by
the Beijing IP Court."
According to the Wall Street Journal, most
phone stores in Beijing have already stopped
selling the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, favoring the
newer models iPhone 6s and 6s plus.
This marks one more struggle for Apple in
China, after the company's movie and books
service was shut down (not very long ago) for
not having appropriate licenses. The
company's struggles in China have already
begun worrying (people or businesses who give money to help start businesses), with
share price already down on Friday.

The Vice-chancellor of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), Professor Abdulganiyu Ambali,
has blamed the Christian Association of
Nigeria (CAN), Osun state chapter, for the
recent religious serious problem in Osun
schools.
The VC who noted that court judgement had
allowed Muslim students to wear Hijab to
school, added that CAN should have (took/taken a court case to a higher court for review) the judgement in court instead of
resulting to self-help.
It will be recalled that there was a mild
drama in Iwo Baptist High school (not very long ago) as some students appeared in choir
robes and other church articles of clothing to
school to fight against the Muslim students
with Hijab.
Professor Ambali in his address delivered at
the opening (formal, special event or series of actions) of the (meeting to discuss things/meeting together) on Law and Religion held
on Wednesday in the university large room (to hear a performance) said: "Rather than
appeal the judgement and use the law, the
Christian Association of Nigeria (Osun state
chapter) chose to/chosen to (because there was no other choice) self-help saying Muslim
girls cannot wear hijab in public/Christian
schools."
He further said: "CAN directed pupils to go to
school in their choir gowns and in that way
violate the approved school uniforms.
"There was tension that has now (slightly boiled/was quietly angry) as well/pleasing
co-existence and healthy development became
threatened by the playful (and troublemaking) behaviors of using Religion
to violate the law when the law was seen to
be agreeing with/matching up with/working regularly with religion.
"However, when religion appears to be a tool
in the hands of lawless men, harmonious co-existence is interfered with and development is damaged/is broken into," he added.
The VC, however, strongly encouraged
Nigerians to stay away from a religious
serious problem in any form because it
compromises development.

A non-governmental organisation, People (who lawfully live in a country, state, etc.)
Fighting for something Effort to begin (doing something) For Responsible Leadership (CAIFAL), has filed a suit at a Federal High
Court in Lagos against the National Youth
Service Corps (NYSC) over possible getting (something) ready for action illegal dishonesty/stealing (by lying).
The people who responded in the suit filed on
Thursday are, the Director General of NYSC,
Sidmach Technologies Limited, Minister for
Young people and Sports, and the Lawyer
General of the Federation.
The group in its suit number FHC/L/CS/840/16 is looking (for) an (official, public statement/document with such a statement)
that because of the (legal rules/food and supplies) of the NYSC Act 1993, the first to
third people who responded, have no law-related rights, to demand a pre- getting (something) ready for action fee from
possible/likely corps members.
In a supporting (statement sworn in court to be true) (removed from a ruling position)/legally stated under oath to by one Mr Mike
Ogie, the group promised that sometime in 2014, the NYSC introduced an electronic
registration programme where possible/likely corps members were needed/demanded
to register online with the sum of N3,000 as
(important things that happened before) for
getting (something) ready for action.
The group (charged with a crime) NYSC of
charging a required N3000 call-up letter fee
from possible/likely youth corps members,
opposite to its enabling law.
According to the group, the scheme (people in charge of something) cheated with a private
company, Sidmach Technologies Limited,
charged N3000 fee to possible/likely corps
members to print out their call-up letters.
Dealing with a press (meeting to discuss things/meeting together) after filing the
action, the group's chairman, the board of
trustees, Chief Tony Dania stated that the
aim of the suit is to get a court statement,
halting the possible 'illegality'.
He said since 2014, NYSC introduced the
payment of N3,000 as fees paid by
graduating Nigerian students popularly
referred to as " Possible/likely Corps
Members" (PCM), who are to be " got ready for action"/" (forced into a job or the military)"
into the one year " required" and 'mandatory'
service to their fatherland.
The group stated that it is a criminal offence
under the NYSC Act 1993, if a graduate, who
is not (given permission to not do something)
is refused to be (ready for action). While
adding that is very wrong, improper, fake/illegal (because of lying and stealing),
illegal, illegal, (going against something in the Constitution), strongly criticizeable and
clearly (something that goes against or disagrees with something else) to the positive
change and anti- (dishonest actions that ruin your trust) policies of the current
Management of President Muhammadu
Buhari.
No date has been fixed for the hearing.

Almost ten months after quitting the
national football team, Super Eagles, former
captain and number one goalkeeper, Vincent
Enyeama has showed/told about that he is
ready to return to the national team if he is
invited and if there is need to do so.
The Lille OSC of France safehands confirmed
in series of comments on Instagram on
Thursday night that he was not yet done
playing and as a country-loving Nigerian, if
he is called on to return to the team, he
would.
Enyeama, who went down memory lane
posting a picture of the NFF's celebration of
his 100th cap, said he would never forget
what it felt like to play in the Super Eagles
and to have (accomplished or gained with effort) so much. He has 101 caps for the Super
Eagles after staffing the goal for 13 years,
from 2002 to 2015.
"tbt#cant forget these numbers till (time going on forever)#i love and honor every of
those minutes that I earned#will forever love
my country#naija made me what I am
today#proudly naija," he (with written description/with on-screen translation) a
picture of the celebration of his (related to lasting 100 years) cap for the national team.
The player then followed with series of
comments in reply to fans, saying that the
country has no goal keeping problems at the
moment, pointing to/showing clearly that
current team number one, Carl Ikeme is
doing fine. He however noted that if there
was any need for a return, he would gladly
do so.
"...Naija doesn't have goalkeeping problems.
I will never say no to naija if naija has
goalkeeping problems.
"I will be back if there is a need to be back.
For now, naija got great goalies. Let's support
them to make us proud."
He then went on to loudly and clearly
confirm his readiness to return to the
national team.
"I am not done serving yet. I am coming
back. I was born to serve my country. My
purpose in life is to affect my generation,
that I will do till the time God says 'My son,
it's time to come home'."
Enyeama's words are a repeating of his
earlier serious promise in an interview with a
national daily that he would return to the
Super Eagles sometime in the future.
Enyeama retired from international football
suddenly in October 2015 after a bust up
with previous chief coach, Sunday Oliseh at
the team's camp in Europe.

Yerima Shettima is the National youth
president of highest point Northern (related to how people and cultures interact) group:
Arewa Advice-giving Forum (ACF), and
Chairman of (supporting) group of all
(related to a group of people with the same race, culture, religion, etc.) (state of belonging to a certain country) leaders in Nigeria.
In this interview with Iniobong Iwok, he
spoke about why the North is in its present
state, breaking down and rebuilding of the
country, the Buhari management among
others. Small sections/small parts:
How do you test/evaluate the Buhari
management?
Expectations were high among Nigerians
but, Buhari alone can not move the country
forward.
Yes he promised change, expectation was
high, unfortunately, he can not move the
country alone.
Some of the ministers are inexperienced or
unable to do what needs to be done; they do
not know what authority and control is all
about. Some of them are behaving like
comedians.
I'm not made happy (by meeting a need or reaching a goal) with this government and
Nigerians are angry about it, you can not
remove all benefits and expect us to be
happy.
You asked people to tighten up while you are
eating fat. Things are hard, you can not be
flying around the world and the common
man is suffering, if there is sacrifice, it should
start from the leaders.
You gave Buhari your total support are you
disappointed?
A lot of people that supported him are
disappointed. Even the campaign saying, the
change (word with secret powers/word or statement repeated often) is empty/left alone.
Most of the things the government said they
would do they are not doing but behaving
without being punished.
Would Arewa Support him or the APC if he
decides to try to get re-elected in 2019?
Buhari is a Nigerian president, and not a
northern president. If we run a (related to a large area) system and he is a premier I
would not attack him but advise him.
On support him, we would look for other choice in 2019, we have been disappointed so
far in his government.
With the way things are going, they would
say there is hope that we should be patient.
But the way the things are, I would look for
other choice.
Do you think the president has been fair to
other areas in his appointment?
The president has not been fair to other areas.
At the earlier time of his government, when
he just started the appointment, but since the
budget was passed you can see that things
have balance up.
We must compliment him, even the
representativeial appointment, how many
people came from the north? Even the board
appointment, you would see that after the
budget, the southwest compared to the north
have more than 40 percent; it favours the
southwest than the north east where I came
from, which has less that 13 percent. Earlier
it was so, not now; and I raised alarm then.
Are you made happy (by meeting a need or reaching a goal) with the performance of
INEC?
INEC has been full of confusion. Look at the
Kogi election, I have become more confuse. I
wonder where they get some language like:
(not resulting in anything). (not resulting in anything) everywhere, and that is when they
want to manoeuvre things.
As we keep going round we would keep
talking about INEC supposed to be an
independent body.
It is obvious INEC is being influence by the
central. We have a system where the central
government has so much power and the
executive override some of their decisions.
Are you made happy (by meeting a need or reaching a goal) with the fight against
(dishonest actions that ruin your trust),
especially the trial of Dasuki?
The office of the National Security Person (who gives opinions about what could or should be done about things) is not an office of the
PDP. Some of us have reservations on the style
of the current anti- corruption/dishonesty with money war, and we said it earlier. The
president has no business in some of the
things he his doing. What he has to do is to
allow the institutions to do their work.
What is happening in the case of Dasuki is
that the president has already convicted him
before the trial by saying in newspapers, web sites, and TV talk/discussion that: how can
he release a man who stole over N400billion.
When the person has not been convicted in
court, even when the court had given order
for his release while standing trial. It is
unfair and the leader who says no he must
fight against the court order to me is not fair,
because: what is happening now could
happen to anybody.
He should fight (dishonest actions that ruin your trust) but respect the rule of law, he
must not make the anti (dishonest actions that ruin your trust) fight personal, so that
when he is not around, the institutions
would continue to fight. We support his anti

The Niger Delta Avengers, a group fighting for the emancipation of the Niger Delta people has asked the president and the northern lawmakers how the North East Development Commission will be funded, indirectly making reference to using money from the resources (oil and gas) in the Niger Delta.

The Edo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has warned a former chairman of the party, Modu Sheriff, to steer clear of the activities of the party in the state ahead of the September 10 governorship election.
The embattled former national chairman had on Tuesday declared the June 20 governorship primary election of the PDP as illegal.
Sheriff also announced a new date for a fresh congress for the party.
But the state Chairman of the PDP, Chief Dan Orbih, told journalists in Benin that the Edo chapter had no business in the crisis at the national level of the party.
Orbih described the primary, where Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu emerged as the party’s candidate, as successful and devoid of rancour.
The PDP chieftain noted that Edo did not need an “external investor” and would not tolerate any form of “northern irredentism”.
”In the interest of our people and our party, he (Sheriff) should not allow whatever differences he has with Abuja to come to Edo State. We are determined, right here in Edo State, to go by the law,” he said.
Orbih added, “Let us not mix the Abuja politics with Edo State politics. I am advising his group to stay away from what we are doing here because we are at peace with ourselves, and we are satisfied with the efforts that we are putting in place to ensure that Edo State is rescued from the hands of external investors.
“We will not tolerate Sheriff playing the role of an external investor. Edo State belongs to Edo people, and we will not, in any form, tolerate those who want to perpetrate northern political irredentism,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Edo State Government has raised an alarm over the alleged plan by the PDP to recruit thugs from boundary communities in Delta State to disrupt the September 10 governorship election.
The Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Kassim Afegbua, in a statement on Wednesday, alleged that the opposition, in connivance with the Delta State Government, had mapped out plans to recruit the thugs, who would pose as eligible voters during the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration exercise.
According to the statement, no fewer than 40 political thugs had been allegedly deployed to the border communities with the intention to register them as voters to enable them to unleash violence during the election.
The Edo State Publicity Secretary of PDP, Chris Nehikhare, debunked the allegations.

The Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, has urged Nigerian engineers to seek more productive and excellent endeavours instead of engaging in unnecessary rancour.
Aregbesola spoke on Thursday at the University of Lagos during the investiture of Mrs. Joanna Maduka as the president of the Nigerian Academy of Engineering. The event also witnessed the conferment of Life Achievement Awards and the induction of new fellows of the academy.
The governor, who frowned on the acrimony in the polity, particularly the politicisation of religion in his state, urged engineers to be more involved in the socio-economic and technological growth of the nation.
He advised them to apply their energy and knowledge into ventures that would uplift the country as well as better the society in general.
Nigerian engineers, he added, should be concerned with ideas that would jumpstart the country’s technological development instead of depending on the importation of goods.
According to him, engineers are still relevant and shall continue to play significant roles in ensuring that the nation’s economy grows.
Aregbesola, who described the Osun State-born new NAE president as a rare breed, said she ventured into engineering when many men were afraid of the profession.
Speaking, Maduka urged members of the academy to be more committed to the profession, advising them to use their knowledge and experiences to provide advice to the government and the business community on technological issues.
According to the first female NAE president, technology plays a key role in the successful implementation of socio-economic initiatives to meet the needs of the country and the global community.
She added, “We need to concern ourselves with such issues as global warming and climate change, the concept of Earth Systems Engineering that has evolved to define the direction of multidisciplinary process development, new frontiers in technology and engineering such as nanotechnology, advanced materials, petrochemicals, robotics and advances in biotechnology. Although some of these may sound remote in the Nigerian context, we should be mindful of developing sustainable engineering solutions that will positively affect our social, cultural, environmental and economic development for the future.”
The President, Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Nike Akande; President, Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, Kashim Ali and the Director General/Chief Executive, Federal Institute of Industrial Research, Oshodi, Dr. Gloria Elemo, are among eminent persons that attended the ceremony.
At the ceremony where the co-author of the MITI, Mr. Martin Brack, delivered a lecture titled, “Master Plan for an Integrated Transportation Infrastructure,” four members of the academy, who have attained the age of 75, received the Life Achievement Awards. They are the new NAE president, Dr. Tajudeen Bawa-Allah, Prof. Patrick Ngoddy and Ebenezer Osoba.
Eleven persons were inducted as fellows of the academy. They are professors Folorunsho Akinbode, Christian Bolu, Frank Okafor, Joshua Otaigbe, Oluwafemi Taiwo and Ayodeji Demuren.
Others are a former Minister of Mines, Power and Steel, Bunu Sheriff Musa, Sunday Adetunji, Clement Oke, Dr. Reuben Okeke, and Dr. Ehimhanre Uujamhan.

certain to leave Anfield in the summer, Sam May takes a look at other potential players who could be heading through the Anfield exit door.
Christian Benteke
The 25-year old Belgium international has failed to live up to his £32.5 million price tag since joining from Aston Villa in the summer. Having had the chance to put the game out of sight against Southampton, he dragged the ball across the face of the goal, a miss that proved costly. Despite gaining confidence from his penalty at Crystal Palace, it is clear he doesn’t fit Liverpool’s style. The fans have been left frustrated by his recent displays and a move could be ideal for all parties. Having seen limited game time; a move could be the right choice for the player as he looks to recapture his form. Behind Sturridge and Origi, Benteke has previously been linked with a move to Tottenham as back up to Harry Kane, but whether this could happen in the summer is unknown.
Jordan Henderson
It would be seen as surprise to most Liverpool fans should he leave Anfield. It seems since taking over the armband from Reds’ legend Steven Gerrard, Henderson hasn’t been the player, fans would have been hoping for. Pressure of trying to live up to the expectations it seems. His performances have dipped and been disappointing of late. Liverpool need a leader in the middle of midfield, somebody who can take control, and be a game changer. With his relentless energy, being tenacity in the tackle and growing leadership skills, he’s a player who seems well equipped to perform in Klopp’s setup – just not as a captain. Recently linked with a £25 million move to Tottenham, it seems Liverpool could be persuaded to cash in on the 25 year-old in the summer. Klopp will see the qualities the England international adds to the team, although he will be acutely aware that if this is a side that is going to challenge for the top honours, many areas of the XI, including central midfield, need upgrading.
Martin Škrtel
Perhaps not the most popular man since his display against Southampton with many fans calling for the 31-year old to be axed. In the first half, the chase for Champions League football was on… then came on Martin Skrtel. By the end of the match, it was totally different. It wasn’t just the fact they had shipped two goals it was the fact the Reds’ lost the game. It was a nightmare return and 45 minutes for the defender, a day to forget. Despite this, we shouldn’t take away the fact; he has been one of the most solid defenders since arriving eight years ago from Zenit St. Petersburg, it’s a season too far. Having made his debut back in 2008 in the FA Cup against Havant and Waterlooville, the Slovakian defender has made over 300 appearances for the club. It seems time is running out for Skrtel. With the arrival of Joel Matip in the summer and another potential centre back, there could be no place for the long serving centre back. Tah? Süle? Subotic? These are just a couple of names Liverpool could target as his replacement.
Alberto Moreno
Spaniard Moreno has failed to live up to expectations since sealing a £12 million move from Sevilla in 2014. Scoring his first goal in the 3-0 victory over Tottenham that year – Liverpool fans thought they had a consistent and found a quality left back since John Arne Risse. Moreno does have something to offer, but he hasn’t lived to up what is required to make the grade at Anfield. He has blistering pace but commits needless fouls. Liverpool have recently been likened with many-left backs – but should Klopp sign 1. FC Köln Jonas Hector in the summer as his replacement? He would definitely be the perfect addition or rival Moreno for the left-back starting birth. He does however offer a balance to the equally forward-thinking Nathaniel Clyne on the opposite flank, and fits into Klopp’s style of play. No Liverpool player finds a team-mate with more deliveries into the box than Moreno, excluding corners. Should he be sold in the summer?
Jose Enrique
Almost a certainty to leave. Liverpool will look to offload the 30-year old Spaniard who is earning £65,000 a week. Recently, turning down a move to former club Newcastle it is not known where could move to in the summer. He has gone from being essential, to sporadic and has a mixed spell on Merseyside. With his contract expiring in June it’s not known whether he will find another club who will pay him the same wage. Jurgen Klopp had told Enrique that he wasn’t in his plans, but player himself decided to stay and try and fight for his place. Having signed in 2011 for £6 million by former manager and club legend Kenny Dalglish, he now finds himself a regular in the Under 21s, and behind Alberto Moreno and Brad Smith.
Adam Bogdan
Seen at the time as a good move, Bogdan has made some high profile and costly errors since arriving on Merseyside. Most noticeably against Exeter and Watford, he has found himself behind current number one, Simon Mignolet and Danny Ward. Having failed to take his chance when given, it’s seems the 26-year old Hungarian stopper is surplus to requirements and will look for a new club when the window re-opens. Many goalkeepers have been linked with the Reds’ including: Timo Horn, Loris Karius, Bernd Leno and Marc-Andre ter Stegen, so it seems there isn’t a place for Bogdan.
Mario Balotelli
Having recently been linked with a move to West Ham, it seems Liverpool could look to offload misfit, Mario Balotelli. The 25-year old, endured a tough time on Merseyside after joining the club from AC Milan in 2014. Having been shipped out on-loan by former manager Brendan Rodgers, who brought him in, he still hasn’t hit the ground running in Serie A, making just 10 appearances, scoring three goals. His agent Mino Raiola recently stated that Klopp could revive his Liverpool, but whether that will happen is unclear.
João Carlos Teixeira
The 23-year old Portuguese attacking midfielder has recently been linked with a £12 million move to Fiorentina. Joining the Reds’ from Sporting Lisbon in 2012, he has had limited game time on Merseyside, becoming a fringe player. Having had spells with Brentford and Brighton on-loan, he was brought back to Liverpool hoping to revitalise his Anfield career. Many Liverpool fans hope he will be handed a deal in the summer, when his current contract runs-out. He has a lot to offer and needs to be given more of a chance it seems. Should Klopp keep him at Anfield?
Luis Alberto
Alberto made just nine appearances, since swapping Sevilla for Liverpool in 2013 in a £6.3 million deal. Brought in by Brendan Rodgers, he struggled to adapt to Premier League football and was shipped out on-loan to Malaga and Deportivo La Coruña, where he remains. He will return to pre-season training in the summer but could be moved on following the squad re-shuffle which is set to take place. Klopp will look to strengthen his midfield, and Alberto doesn’t fit the German’s style, a move seems very likely.
Andre Wisdom
It seems a move away from Anfield is very likely. The 22-year old defender who is currently on-loan at Norwich City joined the Reds’ in 2008 from Bradford City. There is no place in the squad for Wisdom and a permanent move to the Canaries could be possible in summer. Making 22 appearances before moving out on-loan, he will look to find a new club this summer, as Klopp looks to strength his side ahead of the new campaign.

Chelsea have reportedly opened talks to sign Alvaro Morata after Real Madrid executed a buy-back option in the Spaniard’s Juventus contract with the intention of selling him on for profit.
Madrid activated the £23.6m buy-out in the 23-year-old’s contract , having sold him to Juventus two years ago for £16m, but are aware some of their European rivals would be prepared to pay in excess of £30m.
Morata is the joint top goal-scorer at the European Championship this summer, with three goals, and is currently training with his Spain team-mates ahead the round-of-16 tie against Italy.

The Reds are waiting to be granted permission to enter discussions with the 24-year-old forward after submitting a bid of £25 million plus £5m in add-ons
Liverpool have moved closer to completing a deal to sign Sadio Mane following positive negotiations with Southampton, Goal understands.
The Reds have made an offer totalling £30 million for the Senegal international and while the Saints are yet to formally accept the proposal, it is understood they are open to doing business with the Merseyside club for the fifth time since the summer of 2014.
Indications are that Mane is enthused by the prospect of working under Jurgen Klopp but Liverpool are still waiting for permission to enter discussions with the player.
The 24-year-old, who scored 15 goals in all competitions and recorded nine assists last season, would add speed and dynamism to Liverpool's attack.
His ability to operate across the forward line is appreciated by Klopp, who wants to build a squad capable of "playing different systems and reacting to different situations".
The 49-year-old has been aware of Mane's talents since the player's two-year spell at Red Bull Salzburg, with the Austrian club's sporting director at the time, Ralf Rangnick, a close friend.
Liverpool will most likely have to wait until the end of Euro 2016 to continue their pursuit of Piotr Zielinski. His agent Bartlomiej Bolek told Goal : "He is completely focused on the Euros and nothing else now. Afterwards, there may be things to discuss."

In an interview with Punch news, Peter Okoye revealed how becoming a father curbed his excessive lifestyle, and Cameron also revealed a couple of things about himself.

Read below excerpts from the interview.

How has fatherhood impacted you?

Peter: Fatherhood has taught me to be selfless and always consider my children first in whatever I do. In the past, I spent a fortune on pricey wristwatches and exotic cars.

Today, my children come first. I spend wisely and preserve myself for them because they are my future.

How do you spend quality time with your kids?

Peter: Whenever I am in town, I take them out to play and buy ice-cream. Sometimes, we eat out at their favourite eatery.

We also go swimming on Sundays; we have a pool in our home but we prefer to go swimming elsewhere.

It’s sad that sometimes when they travel for summer holidays, I am not usually around because summer is a busy period for us.

So, if they will be away for two weeks and I’m free for two days in between, I join them and then I go back to work.

Is there anything you wish to do better as a father?

Peter: I wish that I had my children earlier; I was with their mum for years before we got married. I even had them before we got married.

If I had them a long time ago, we would relate more like siblings. If they were teenagers for instance, they would know that their dad is a celebrity and can learn certain things on their own.

What do you love most about your dad?

Cameron: I love his music, the way he teaches and corrects me when I do anything wrong. My dad teaches me everything I need to know and he is also my best friend.

Would you also like to be a musician?

Cameron: No. I would rather be a footballer because I feel I was born to play football. I’m a bit confused sometimes about my favourite football club.

But, my favourite football players are Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, because they are the best players in the world;they have a lot of skills.

If you could buy something for your dad, what would it be?

Cameron: I wouldn’t buy him anything. I will give him money; I’ll give him N19, 000 because that is all the money I have. I don’t mind giving him all of it because he deserves it.

In a recent interview published by Punch, the 80-year-old Alhaja Sikiratu Yekini, mother of late Super Eagles striker, Rashidi Yekini, has finally opened up on her financial status and what has been happening since the death of her son.

When asked how life has been treating her since the death of her son, Yekini’s mother revealed some interesting and shocking details many will find very surprising.

She said:-

“I have been managing. It has not been easy at all. Since he died, I have not had substantial support. I have been surviving on the rent I collect from the house Rashidi built for me as well as the proceeds from my petty trade. As you can see here, I sell bread, biscuits and some other household cooking materials. I use the rent to do some little repairs on the house and also to find at least a meal a day or more depending on what the day brings.”

Asked about the houses which he collects rent and the allegation by Yekini’s lawyer that she collects about N500,000 from rent yearly, she said:

“We have five flats in this house. I use one flat, my surviving son, Akeem, and his family use one flat while I rented out the remaining three flats. This is almost a remote area. It is not like Abuja, Lagos or even Ilorin where you can collect substantial amount for rent. The tenants were paying N30,000 per annum but I just increased it to N45,000 per annum this year. That means that prior to this year, I was collecting only N90,000 per annum from the three flats.

“The lawyer is not being truthful. He is maligning me, and stopping people from assisting me through his statements. Since my son died, if people have given money to the lawyer for me, he has not given me. It is only now, due to media publicity, that people started helping me.”
Speaking about how she has been helped so far by well meaning Nigerians, she revealed that some well meaning Nigerians have come to her aid since news broke about her poor living condition.

She said:- “During Rashidi’s one year memorial anniversary, Osun and Oyo states’ governments gave money to his wives and children. Osun State gave his wives N2m and Oyo gave N2m as well. The Kwara State Government made a promise but it has not been fulfilled. Some people recently started helping me. There is a group from Abuja that opened a bank account for me. Some money has been paid in for me. Also, Yinka Ayefele recently sent a delegation to me.

“He read about my ordeal in the papers and he was touched and sent people to ask me what my needs were. I told them. Also, Chief Donatus Agu-Ejidike was touched after learning of my story. He came here and gave me N100,000. Some weeks ago, the wife of the Kwara State Governor, Mrs. Omolewa Ahmed, sent a delegation and they gave me clothes, food, beverages and some cash. I am grateful to them. May God reward them but I still need more.”

However, she revealed that the Nigerian Football Federation totally abandoned her and her family. She disclosed that she has not received a kobo from them. In her words: “They [NFF] have not done anything. If government or people have been giving Yekini’s lawyer (Jibril Olanrewaju) in Ibadan, things to give me, he has not been sending them to me. I am not aware that NFF has given any money to the family since my son died.”

The woman revealed that it was poverty that pushed her into selling bread and biscuit.

Leicester city and England striker Jamie Vardy has snubbed a move to Arsenal and will remain with EPL champions Leicester City according to Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger. In an interview with Chinese television, the Arsenal manager said:

“Jamie Vardy is, at the moment, at Leicester and from what I know, he will stay at Leicester.”
The 29-year-old Vardy was a vital member of The Foxes’ title-winning squad, having scored 24 goals over the course of the 2015/16 Premier League campaign, just one fewer than top scorer Harry Kane. He also broke former Manchester United and Real Madrid forward Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record of scoring in 10 consecutive Premier League matches.

The London club, Arsenal, were prepared to offer Leicester the 25.4 million euros stated in his release clause and to pay the player a salary of 152,000 euros per week.

However, the BBC reports that Vardy has turned down the chance to move to the Emirates and will instead extend his contract with the Premier League champions until 2020, with the new deal earning him 127,000 euros per week.

‘PRAY FOR THE PATRIOTS OF SAMBISA FOREST!

These are Nigerian soldiers braving the heat of the day doing some manual labour inside the Sambisa forest after practically smoking the Boko Haram terrorists to hell where they truly belong. Kindly spare a moment to pray for them, for a briliant well done job, and for putting their lives on the line to make Nigeria a safe place for the rest of us. Ameen.

Unlike the Avengers, who will soon become scavengers, history will be kind to these heroes.

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a man, Ike Iwuanyanwu, for allegedly raping and impregnating his 15-year-old daughter, Priscilla (pseudonym) at Ajao Estate, in the Isolo area of the state.

Our correspondent gathered that Iwuanyanwu, who was a company driver living on Anuoluwapo Street in the estate, was arrested on Wednesday after the matter was reported at the Ajao Estate Police Division.

It was learnt that the victim had been taken into custody by the Lagos State Government.

PUNCH Metro gathered that Iwuanyanwu had also allegedly beaten his daughter and wife, warning them not to disclose the incident to anyone.

It was learnt that Priscilla’s mother, however, informed her family members on Wednesday, who went to the girl’s school to confirm the story from her.

The case was thereafter reported to the state Ministry of Youth and Social Development, which informed the police.

A neighbour of the Iwuanyanwus, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the victim was the first child of the family, adding that the father had allegedly confessed to the crime.

She said, “The man is a driver and the girl is his first child. None of us knew anything about the incident until he was arrested. The only thing we saw was that the man beat up his wife and daughter late in the night on Tuesday.

“The girl was pregnant and the father tried to hide it. It was her school that informed the Lagos State Government.

“The girl confessed that it was her father who raped and impregnated her. The Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Social Development alerted the police and the man was arrested.

“The suspect did not deny that he impregnated the girl. He knew the government was involved and he had no hiding place. We learnt he told the police that his wife did not allow him to have s*x with her and he yielded to the temptation of raping his daughter.

“The girl’s mother told her family members, who then went to her school. They did not know the school authorities would get the ministry involved. The matter was also reported to some child rights workers in the Oshodi area.”

Our correspondent learnt that Priscilla’s mother allegedly took the 15-year-old to a place where the pregnancy was aborted.

The pregnancy was said to have been aborted before she was rescued and taken into custody by government officials.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the police arrested Priscilla’s mother on Thursday for involvement in the alleged abortion.

The Coordinator, Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team, Lagos State, Lola Vivour-Adeniyi, said the victim was safe in government’s custody.

She said, “Social workers have rescued the victim.

She is now at an orphanage provided by the state government. We have also called for the duplicate case file. The girl’s mother was arrested for allegedly aborting the pregnancy. The police may grant her bail on the grounds that she has a four-year-old boy.”

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the incident, adding that investigation was ongoing.

She said, “The man raped and impregnated his daughter, while the mother also procured abortion for her. The Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, has ordered that the case be transferred to the gender unit of the command for investigation. The girl is placed in a shelter because we cannot afford to see her go back to that vicinity.”
