Portugal ensured they kept the pressure on Switzerland in World Cup qualifying Group B with a 4-1 win over Latvia on Sunday.
Cristiano Ronaldo put the Seleccao in the lead after 28 minutes, but a goal from Arturs Zjuzins in the 68th minute saw Latvia pull level.
William Carvalho came to Portugal’s rescue just a minute later, though, when he got on the end of a Quaresma cross and knocked it past the goalkeeper.
Ronaldo put the result beyond doubt late in the game with his second before Bruno Alves added a fourth.
